Job Description Foundation Teacher – English Location: Hobart, Tasmania Full-Part | Sessional | On-site About the role: This is a sessional appointment commencing at 0.25 FTE in June 2026. The role is responsible for the delivery of the following unit: XPD003 English 3 This is a core unit designed to further improve students’ knowledge and understanding of English language skills and techniques. The curriculum aligns with CEFR English proficiency level B2. The unit is delivered face to face and focuses on developing students’ academic English communication skills to support successful tertiary study outcomes. This comprises a 0.25 FTE role and includes approximately 5 hours per week of face-to-face teaching plus student consultation, administration, and assessment marking. The role includes a defined allocation of assessment marking, with additional marking paid where assessment volumes exceed the standard allocation, particularly during peak assessment periods. Each study period consists of a 13-week teaching cycle followed by an examination week. There are three study periods per year, commencing in February, June, and October.
