Aurora is seeking a friendly, motivated and professional individual to join the Townsville team in a Junior Student Recruitment and Campus Operations Officer role. This is a hybrid position combining front-of-house reception, campus operations and student recruitment support. The successful applicant will generally be based at the reception desk in Townsville, providing a welcoming first point of contact for students, clients and visitors, while also supporting student recruitment activities. This position would suit someone with strong customer service skills, an interest in sales/student recruitment or the education sector, and a willingness to learn. Aurora is looking for someone who can grow into a student recruitment/sales-focused role over time, with training and support provided along the way. As part of the team, you will work closely with the the Student Recruitment and Partnership Manager and Administration Manager. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Providing reception and front-of-house support at the Townsville campus. Assisting students, clients and visitors with enquiries in a professional and friendly manner. Supporting campus operations duties, including but not limited to, data entry, filing, document preparation and student record support. Learning about Aurora’s courses, enrolment processes and student pathways. Responding to phone, email and walk-in enquiries. Assisting with student recruitment activities, including following up enquiries and sales leads. Supporting the student recruitment team with promotional activities, school engagement and local events where required. Helping build and maintain positive relationships with students, schools, employers and community stakeholders. Working towards developing skills in student recruitment, sales and relationship management. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities: A genuine interest in sales, student recruitment, education or customer service. A friendly, confident and professional communication style. Strong customer service skills and a positive first impression. A high level of personal presentation. A willingness to learn and develop within the role. Strong attention to detail. A positive “can-do” attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment. Good time management and organisational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. The ability to manage competing priorities in a campus environment. A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle. A current QLD Blue Card, or the ability to promptly obtain one upon successful appointment. Previous experience in campus operations, reception, customer service, sales or the education sector would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
