Sheetmetal Worker Location: Darwin, NT Employment Type: Full-Time Join Johnny Cool Darwin , a growing HVAC, refrigeration and electrical company delivering quality work across Darwin and remote NT. We work across schools, hospitals, defence, commercial sites, community facilities and remote locations, providing reliable mechanical services across the Territory. About the Role We are seeking a qualified and motivated Sheetmetal Worker to join our Darwin team. This role will suit someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently, and enjoys varied HVAC installation and ductwork projects. You will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation and modification of sheetmetal ductwork, mechanical services components and associated HVAC systems across commercial, industrial and residential sites. Key Responsibilities Fabricate, assemble and install sheetmetal ductwork and HVAC components. Install mechanical ventilation, exhaust and air conditioning ductwork systems. Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications. Measure, mark out, cut, fold and fit sheetmetal materials as required. Carry out modifications, repairs and adjustments to ductwork and sheetmetal systems. Install grilles, diffusers, dampers, plenums, flashings and associated components. Work safely at heights, on construction sites and within occupied buildings. Complete job notes, timesheets and documentation in AroFlo. Work safely and in accordance with WHS requirements, site procedures and Australian Standards. Liaise professionally with clients, builders, contractors and internal staff. What We’re Looking For Trade qualified Sheetmetal Worker or experienced duct installer. Experience with HVAC ductwork installation, fabrication or mechanical services. Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and measurements. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Current Australian driver’s licence. Construction White Card. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices. Australian work rights are mandatory for this position. Experience working across commercial projects, hospitals, schools, defence sites or remote NT locations would be highly regarded.
