We are currently looking to grow our Workshop team and are seeking a proactive and efficient Workshop Controller We currently have an excellent opportunity available to drive the success of the AUS Smash Repairs business by coordinating the jobs in our smash repairs workshop. The Workshop Controller is responsible for providing support to the AUS Smash Repairs Manager and also providing support and assistance to the AUS Smash Repairs Workshop; managing all job cards for the workshop, ensuring clients' requirements are met, and ensuring that good employee / client relations are maintained whilst operating within ethical guidelines and professionalism. This role requires an excellent understanding of vehicle repair operations in order to manage the team’s day to day activities. Motivated and driven, your demonstrated experience working in a panel shop will ensure you are able to hit the ground running in this leadership opportunity. The Workshop Controller will have a good knowledge of the legal requirements and obligations as they relate to the vehicle service and repair industry, including, but not confined to, Work Health & Safety legislation and Environmental regulations. Exceptional time management skills coupled with your passion for coaching others to succeed will support your success in this ‘hands on’ role. The successful candidate will be required to: Prepare, supervise and control workshop activities on a daily basis Ensure that all jobs are completed correctly the first time Ensure all customer vehicles are maintained clean at all times Make suggestion to management for improvements to the Panel Beater and Spray Painter departments operations Ensure completed repairs are quality tested and signed off The ideal candidate will possess the following: 2 years minimum experience in a similar position Strong automotive industry understanding Experience leading and developing people Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Good verbal and written communication skills Effective teamwork skills and ability to develop positive working relationship Trade qualified, either Panel or Paint Unrestricted manual driver’s licence (MR licence preferred) If you're looking for a rewarding career and you feel that your abilities match these criteria, please 'Apply Now.'
