We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller to oversee and manage financial operations within the property industry. Description The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following: Lead the development of the annual three-way budget (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow). Maintain a financial model to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and risk assessment. Analyse quarterly financial and operational performance and present insights to the Board. Manage end-to-end monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory obligations. Process and lodge PAYG, superannuation, and other employer requirements on time. Review and ensure accuracy of Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and lodgement. Support corporate finance activities, including loan reviews, refinancing, and short-term investment management. Oversee year-end financial reporting, audits, and compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/AASB 16). Coordinate taxation processes with external advisors to ensure timely and compliant tax return completion. Profile The successful candidate with have/be: Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CPA or CA. Proven experience in financial management within the property industry. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in financial software and systems. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
