Full Time - 9 Day Fortnight, 36 hours per week Salary: From $2491.72 per fortnight plus Superannuation and any applicable allowances About the team The Waste and Resource Recovery falls under Environment, Heritage and Resilience Directorate and is responsible for maintaining Council’s Waste and Recycling Centres, including both active and closed landfill facilities. About the role You will be responsible for undertaking all general maintenance duties, operate small machinery (plant equipment), maintain pumps and outdoor vegetation clearing (mowing, whipper snipper). Having a medium ridged truck licence to assist with transporting materials is desirable. Please note you will be working across multiple sites (Arundal, Stapylton, Jacobs Well, Reedy Creek) We’re looking for people who have: • Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence (Mandatory). • MR Drivers Licence (Desirable). • General Construction Induction White Card (Mandatory). • AC/DC, Bobcat licence, chainsaw certification (Desirable) • Proficient in operating small machinery and power tools • Sound physical health to perform physical demanding duties associated with this role • Experience in maintenance and/or outdoor operations • The ability to be part of a small team, working in line with internal policies and practices including employment equity, workplace health and safety, and corporate values. • Self-motivation and the ability to get the job done right with limited supervision. • Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.
