About your opportunity: This opportunity is for a General Surgeon with special interest and training in colorectal surgery. The Townsville University Hospital is a 600 plus bed hospital. Currently there are 11 consultants working in the General Surgical department, with consultant subspecialty interests in Breast, Endocrine, Colorectal, HPB and Oesophago-gastric surgery. The hospital has an intensive care unit, radiology department with interventional capability, PET scanner, radiation oncology, anorectal physiology and manometry, and the full range of Surgical and Medical specialty groups. There are endoscopy sessions allocate to colorectal surgery. Salary range (part-time): $124.13 to $131.61 p.h. (L25-L27) $103.80 to $120.57 p.h. (L18-L24) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary) Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
