A well-established mechanical HVAC contractor is looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager to support the continued growth of their Melbourne projects division. This opportunity is suited to someone wanting to step beyond simply running their own projects day to day and move into a broader leadership focused position where your experience is genuinely valued and where you can help shape the direction, delivery and growth of the business long term. Rather than being purely project focused, this role will see you leading from the front supporting PMs, mentoring teams, assisting with project delivery and working closely with senior leadership across the wider business. The company delivers a strong mix of commercial HVAC projects across Melbourne including multi-site apartment developments, schools, fit-outs, upgrades and projects up to $10m in value. The Role • Oversee delivery across multiple commercial HVAC projects • Mentor and support Project Managers within the team • Assist with forecasting, resource planning and project performance • Support client relationships and help drive successful project outcomes • Work closely with senior leadership across operations and delivery • Step in and support projects when required to help teams navigate challenges • Mixture of office and site involvement across Melbourne What They’re Looking For • Strong background delivering commercial mechanical HVAC projects • Previous experience as a Senior PM, Lead PM or Operations focused PM • Comfortable mentoring and supporting other PMs • Commercially aware with strong understanding of project delivery • Experience across fit-outs, upgrades and large commercial projects • Strong communication and leadership skills • Calm, solutions focused approach to projects and people • Someone looking for long-term growth and influence within a business This role would suit someone already stepping beyond a traditional PM position internally but without the long-term pathway, autonomy or influence they are looking for in their current environment.
