About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Business Support Officer to join a high-performing government team supporting youth-focused initiatives across NSW. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth operational and administrative support across multiple business units while providing executive assistance to senior leaders. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across communications, policy, participation, grants, and community engagement teams, contributing to project coordination, office operations, and stakeholder engagement activities. Position : Business Support Officer – $46.52/hour super Location : Strawberry Hills / Redfern Working Arrangement : Hybrid – 2 days WFH Start Date : ASAP Duration : Initial 1-month contract with possible extension Hours : 35 hours per week Application Window : Immediate shortlisting underway Key Responsibilities Provide executive and diary management support to senior leadership Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, workshops, and events Prepare agendas, minutes, briefing notes, and correspondence Assist with records management and document control processes Maintain accurate data and correspondence within TRIM, MiniApp, or similar systems Support project administration activities across multiple teams Coordinate stakeholder communications and engagement activities Assist with procurement requests, merchandise ordering, and stock management Provide administrative support for consultations, forums, and community events Liaise with schools, community groups, and external stakeholders regarding participation activities Monitor shared inboxes and respond to enquiries in a timely manner Ensure compliance with internal governance, approval, and reporting requirements Provide backup executive assistant support during periods of leave Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team collaboration activities About You Previous experience in an administrative, business support, team assistant, or executive support role Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across varying seniority levels Experience working within government or large complex organisations highly regarded Exposure to TRIM, MiniApp, SharePoint, SCM, or similar document management systems preferred Confident coordinating meetings, events, travel, and office logistics Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented approach Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously Comfortable supporting project-based work and cross-functional teams Willingness to occasionally travel for engagement activities or events if required Must hold or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check (paid worker) Must have valid Australian working rights.
