About the Role As an Accountant at the Sarina Ethanol Distillery, you’ll be part of Wilmar’s growing biofuels business, an exciting and evolving industry focused on renewable energy and sustainability. Working within the BioEthanol Finance team, you’ll support a broad range of finance activities including reporting and analysis, budgeting, month-end processes, and audit preparation. You’ll also gain valuable hands-on experience with operational finance tasks such as fuel pricing, excise, and cost analysis, providing you with strong commercial exposure in a dynamic environment. This is a varied and engaging role where you’ll collaborate with teams across finance, sales, logistics, and shared services, while also providing backup support to accounts receivable and the Commercial Manager, giving you wider exposure across the business. Role Responsibilities Support day to day financial activities including pricing, excise calculations and reporting Assist with month-end processes including journals, reconciliations and preparation of reporting packs Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including SAP/BW uploads and financial analysis Assist with year end audit preparation and financial close activities Provide back-up support to accounts receivable, including customer setup, reporting and debt monitoring Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and maintain strong financial controls Provide back-up support to Commercial manager About you We are looking for someone who brings: Essential A financial or commercial degree, preferably with an accounting or finance major Progress toward CPA, CA or CIMA qualification (preferred) Strong Excel and PC skills, with working knowledge of SAP High attention to detail, with strong planning and organisational skills A collaborative approach with well-developed communication and relationship-building skills Desirable Experience in financial reporting, month-end processes and budgeting support Exposure to cost accounting, excise, or manufacturing/industrial environments Demonstrated ability to improve processes, systems and internal controls Strong ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment Experience working in a cross functional or commercial business setting Why work for Wilmar We want people who take pride in their work, enjoy building connections, and value opportunities to grow their career in a dynamic, future-focused organisation.
