The Opportunity HammondCare’s Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer , you’ll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment. About the role In this role you will provide care for our clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages. Hourly Rates: $31.95 to $35.44- P/H penalties Shifts include: (You must be able to do a mix of below) 7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift 14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift 21.30- 07.45- Night shift Responsibilities Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally About you Available to work across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sites you’re a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused you have previous experience in aged or community care, or are looking to start your career in aged care you have a valid Driver’s Licence and access to an insured, reliable car ideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help First Aid certificate desirable Empathy and compassion are a must Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
