About the Role We’re seeking a passionate and creative Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our experienced leadership team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in enhancing the well-being and joy of our residents by delivering engaging and meaningful lifestyle programs. You’ll be responsible for planning, preparing, and facilitating activities that reflect residents’ interests, abilities, and emotional needs — helping them live fulfilling and enjoyable lives. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Leisure and Lifestyle Manager to plan and implement a variety of recreational and social activities. Prepare, set up, and pack down activity materials in a timely and safe manner. Support and encourage residents to participate in leisure and lifestyle programs. Contribute innovative ideas and creative approaches to enhance resident engagement. Maintain a tidy, welcoming, and safe environment for all activities. Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Health / Lifestyle and Leisure, or equivalent (or currently working towards qualification). Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, ideally within an aged care setting. Compassionate, caring nature with a genuine interest in improving residents’ quality of life. Excellent communication skills — both verbal and written — including the ability to read aloud to residents for their enjoyment. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, embrace innovation, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
