We are currently seeking a hands-on and commercially minded Company Accountant to lead the day-to-day finance function and support the business through accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and disciplined financial management. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is critical to ensuring the finance function operates efficiently while supporting the broader operational performance of the business. Stable and financially strong Australian manufacturing business Genuine career progression into a future Financial Controller position Direct exposure to senior leadership and operational decision-making Hands-on role with real business impact Opportunity to improve systems, reporting, and ERP processes Supportive and experienced leadership team Early Friday finishes when the work is done Free onsite parking Immediate start available About the Role Key responsibilities include: Ownership of the month-end close process with a KPI of reporting completion within 5 business days Preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow forecasting Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and reconciliations Monitoring and improving internal financial controls and processes Managing inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Supporting year-end audit and compliance requirements Maintaining accuracy and integrity across the ERP system (NetSuite) Working closely with operational teams to improve financial visibility and reporting Providing commercial insights and analysis to support business decisions About You To succeed in this role, you will be proactive, highly organised, and capable of operating independently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ideally have: Previous experience in a Company Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Finance Manager role Minimum 5 years of experience in Company Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Finance Manager positions is essential Manufacturing industry experience (essential) A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing industry experience is required Strong understanding of inventory, costing, and operational finance Experience using ERP systems, ideally NetSuite NetSuite experience is preferred, though other comprehensive ERP system experience will be considered Strong financial reporting and reconciliation skills Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A hands-on attitude with a willingness to improve systems and processes CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) highly regarded Candidates currently studying towards CPA or CA qualification will be considered What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who wants more than just a transactional accounting role.
