About the Role Hover UAV is seeking an experienced Remote Pilot to support safe, compliant, and high-performing RPAS operations across internal programs and client engagements. This role is ideal for a hands-on remote pilot who has been actively flying for several years and is ready to step into a more structured operational role. You'll support Chief and Senior Remote Pilots, contribute to operational readiness, and help uplift capability across people, systems, and technology. The position combines field operations with operational support, maintenance coordination, proficiency activities, and technology adoption, working closely with CRPs on complex and evolving RPAS programs. Key Responsibilities Conduct onsite or remote RPAS operations locally and interstate Conduct trial flights, testing, and validation of new aircraft, payloads, and systems Support the delivery of practical flight proficiency checks across Hover UAV and client ReOCs Contribute to pilot development, standardisation, and operational consistency initiatives Essential requirements RePL – Multirotor (25 kg) AROC Several years' experience operating RPAS in active operational environments Strong understanding of operational procedures, compliance, and safe flight practices High attention to detail Comfortable using software, digital tools, and operational platforms Desirable requirements Other RePL endorsements: Powered Lift Fixed Wing Medium Multirotor Pass in BVLOS OCTA or IREX BVLOS flight experience Experience using AVCRM or similar RPAS management systems Exposure to training systems and processes Exposure to different operational taskings (eg surveying, inspection, surveillance) Who would suit this role An experienced Remote Pilot looking for new and exciting challenges A remote pilot based near the Gold Coast, QLD or Sydney, NSW Someone who enjoys systems, software, and structured operations — not just stick time Someone who can work independently and as part of a dynamic team A remote pilot seeking exposure to CRP-level operations, audits, and regulatory frameworks Someone motivated by new technology, testing, and capability development Why Join Hover UAV?
