About the role The Co-occurring Needs Clinician will provide integrated, recovery-oriented care to individuals experiencing both alcohol and other drug (AOD) use issues and mental health concerns. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the role focuses on holistic assessment, treatment planning, case management, counselling and group facilitation to address the complex and interconnected needs of clients. This position is a part-time opportunity (22.5 hours per week) offered as a 12-months fixed term position, until the 30th June 2027, with possibility for extension. Assess client needs and provide counselling, case management, group facilitation and harm minimisation support Develop and review individual treatment and support plans in partnership with clients and their families Coordinate care and support access to mental health, primary health, AOD and community services Skills & Experience We are looking for someone who: Qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or another relevant discipline, with current professional registration or accreditation (e.g. AHPRA registration, OTA, AASW, APS, PACFA, or ACA). Has experience working in health and community services with people with complex, co occurring needs. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence based AOD and mental health interventions, including harm minimisation, recovery oriented practice, and integrated care models. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders.
