The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will join our Townsville team, an integral part of our Northern Operations distribution network. The team ensures product is received, stockpiled and distributed for domestic and international markets via business partners and the Townsville Port facility. This is a 24‑hour, vessel‑driven operation , and flexibility to work rotating shifts is a core requirement of the role . You will be responsible for: Loading trucks, trains and ship loaders Unloading trucks, trains and storing bulk material Operating Front End Loaders, skid steer loaders, forklifts and excavators Operating plant to support loading and discharge of shipping vessels Carrying out daily equipment checks and general labouring duties Actively contributing to safe, reliable and efficient port operations About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and be willing to champion site procedures and in‑house processes. You will also have: A strong commitment to safety, inclusion and high-performance culture A clear understanding of and commitment to rotating shift work in a 24‑hour operation Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding manual handling tasks An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence Front End Loader competency Excavator experience (desirable — training can be provided) Experience in manufacturing, production or bulk handling environments Exposure to SAP and Citec systems (advantageous) A mature, reliable attitude and the ability to step into an acting Team Leader role when required You will be a committed team player with a strong focus on safety, customer service and achieving operational results, and a genuine desire to progress within the organisation.
