McKay Drilling is a leading WA-based drilling company specialising in all areas of Reverse Circulation and Diamond Drilling with a strong family culture. Due to continued growth within the business, we are seeking a Field Assistant to support a Reverse Circulation drill program with one of our Blue Chip Clients. ABOUT THE JOB This is a FIFO role on a 2/1 roster from Perth. You will be working as part of a great team on 12-hour shifts on mine sites within Western Australia. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring that duty of care is exercised in all aspects of work activities. Ensure personal compliance with Company HSEQ regulations and any site-specific client rules, which may apply at various mine site operations. Assisting with loading and unloading Light and heavy vehicles. Follow Safe Operating Procedures and instructions at all times. Collect/layout/pack/label/dispatch formation samples. Conduct Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) observations on as required. Complete Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms as required. ROLE SUMMARY: Collect and log RC samples without error. Deliver to laboratory and rack in order, ensuring 100% accuracy. Maintain QAQC records in a timely manner. Assist team with pit escorting through autonomous pit. Assist team with logistics of personnel, parts etc. Conduct risk assessments and adhere to all business and client safety requirements. MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS: C Class – Manual Drivers Licence. Able to pass pre-employment medical and on-going random drug & alcohol testing. Previous Field Assistant experience (not necessary but highly regarded). Excellent time keeping. Excellent communication skills. Professional approach. Ability to work under pressure. Organisational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. First Aid Certificate or willingness to attain it.
