Join our busy and supportive plaintiff personal injury team in Hobart as a Legal Secretary (Clerk) , where your skills will directly support our lawyers and make a difference in the lives of our clients. About the Role This is a hands-on, varied position supporting our legal team with day-to-day administration and client work. Your key responsibilities will include: Screening incoming calls and taking detailed, high-quality phone messages Maintaining client files, including updating chronologies and schedules Transcribing correspondence and file notes from dictation Drafting routine correspondence using templates and completing client forms Receiving tasks and instructions via digital dictation software Liaising with third parties (barristers, medical professionals, etc.) to coordinate appointments and communications Over time, and with the right training and interest, the role may expand to include paralegal tasks , such as perusing clinical notes and assisting with case preparation. About You You will ideally have: At least 1 year of experience in a legal, medical, or corporate secretarial/administrative role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and document management systems A client-focused and adaptable attitude Work Arrangements Full-time hours (37.5/week) preferred, but flexible or part-time arrangements will be considered Primarily office-based , with work-from-home flexibility available on an ad hoc basis under our flexible work policy Why Work With Us?
