It pioneered the Development of Septic Systems and Concrete Tanks. Aquarius Precast is currently looking for a full-time formwork carpenter to join their team. The skills required are: The ability to understand plans for manufacture and construction of moulds with attention to fine detail and quality control measures. The ability to work well with your hands and knowledge of construction equipment. Problem solving skills. Practical skills for maintaining and servicing of equipment. The ability to communicate well with other team members. Cert III in Carpentry with 1 year full-time equivalent experience OR 3 years full-time experience specifically in a formwork environment in lieu required. 1-year full time equivalent work experience with the below duties required Key Responsibilities and Duties: Building and assembling of timber and reinforced steel frameworks and the construction of fabricated timber or metal moulds to specific plans. Ensuring formwork is level, square & secure prior to pouring concrete. Ensuring placement of custom items & fitments to be incorporated into the item being manufactured including electrical bells to precise placement and ensuring lifters are used prior to pouring of concrete Involvement in the pouring of concrete into moulds ensuring correct vibration measures are being used. Ensuring strict quality control measures are being adhered to. Erect and strip formwork Ensuring stripping/removal of product from mould is done correctly to avoid damage to the product. Finishing of concrete moulds & forms. Repairing damaged moulds. Ensuring work areas are kept clean and safe work methods are being adhered to.
