About the Role Your role will involve ensuring smooth warehouse operations by handling a variety of duties from receiving and verifying goods, loading and unloading freight, to operating forklifts. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Receive goods on behalf of customers and suppliers, including offloading/loading vehicles, manual handling, checking paperwork, weighing and measuring freight, booking in freight, and reporting any discrepancies or damages. Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and hand jacks. Palletise loose and floor-loaded cargo, securing with stretch wrap and/or banding. Load and unload trailers and ocean containers professionally and without damage. Prepare outbound loads: match freight with paperwork, label shipments, and handle ULDs. Accurately verify freight counts and conditions, signing off Bills of Lading. Safely stage and organise cargo within the warehouse. Use booking-in sheets or Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain warehouse organisation and accuracy. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, including sweeping, inventory consolidation, and general cleaning duties. Follow all quality and safety standards as per SOPs and customer requirements, including reworking or recouping freight where needed. Operate Import and Export X-Ray Screening and EDT operations with accuracy and compliance. Complete weekly bond checks (site specific). Ensure DFT procedures are adhered to, including maintaining perimeter security and challenging any unusual activity (site specific). Handle bonded import freight and break down inbound ULDs following regulations (site specific). Perform other general warehouse duties as required to support the team. About You With experience in transport security, logistics, or a regulated environment, you bring a disciplined and detail-focused approach. You understand the importance of compliance, vigilance, and accuracy in high-security settings and take pride in following procedures and maintaining safety standards. You are reliable, adaptable, and able to work both independently and within a team. You communicate effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
