Your New Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Melbourne to support our security screening technologies primarily across Victoria and South Australia. Working closely with established Field Service Engineers based in Melbourne, this role involves servicing customer sites across the region and supporting critical security screening equipment. As part of a national service business, there will also be an occasional requirement to support customer sites elsewhere in Australia. Key responsibilities include: Performing preventive maintenance, upgrades and repairs at customer sites Managing customer relationships and providing support both in person and via the phone Completing service, expense and weekly time reports Responding to customer issues and seeing them through to resolution Contribute to the team's focus on improving service delivery performance Participating in ongoing training to up-skill and enhance product knowledge Participating in a rotating on call roster, including weekend and out of hours support as required What You'll Bring to Make An Impact: Experience servicing electronic and mechanical equipment in a field service, industrial or technical environment A good understanding of computers and Windows operating systems Trade qualification as an Electronics Technician or similar, or a Restricted Electrical Licence Experience supporting Linux based systems or networked equipment Experience working with complex electronic systems, diagnostic tools and technical documentation Experience in aviation security, screening systems or other critical infrastructure environments Strong customer service and communication skills A current driver's licence and the ability to travel across Victoria and South Australia, with occasional travel elsewhere in Australia, including at short notice where required Don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes – if you meet most of them, we encourage you to submit your application.
