About the Role We are looking for a Production Engineering Manager to lead and manage our manufacturing production engineering function, including maintenance, production engineering, and production support. You will be responsible for driving leadership in machinery installation, automation projects, and providing high-level technical support for production equipment and processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and develop the manufacturing production engineering and Production Support Engineering (PSE) teams. Manage production-related capital projects (Capex), including equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and facility upgrades. Define the capital projects roadmap and lead automation or machinery improvement projects based on SQCDE (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Environmental) requirements. Provide technical support for production processes, including machine programming, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis. Deliver Kaizen initiatives and process improvements using PDS (Lean manufacturing), Six Sigma, or TPS methodologies. Manage maintenance performance, maintain production process documentation (work instructions, PM schedules), and manage operational expense budgets. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive problem-solver with a deep technical background in the Australian HVAC industry. Hold a Trade Certificate and an Engineering Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Previous experience in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment is highly regarded. Proficiency in project management, Capex management, reading engineering drawings, and mechanical installation processes. You use logic and data to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions that achieve organizational outcomes. You are an adaptable communicator who can clearly present information to a variety of audiences. Japanese language skills are highly regarded. Why Join Us?
