We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Third-Party Maintenance Contracts Lead to join our Gas Operations West team in Perth on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Delivery West, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of third-party O&M contracts, working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently and in line with contractual obligations. This role works in close partnership with the Third-Party Maintenance Contracts Manager to ensure effective delivery of third-party O&M obligations, alignment on priorities, and consistent execution across customer contracts. This is a highly cross-functional role, sitting at the centre of operations, planning, engineering, commercial and customer engagement. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the development of budgetary maintenance proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with customer and contract requirements Tracking and reporting of proposal status, including approvals, Purchase Orders, variations and customer feedback Coordinate and support the delivery of maintenance activities across third-party O&M contracts, ensuring alignment with agreed priorities and schedules Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery outcomes and customer expectations Support cost tracking, forecasting and financial visibility of maintenance activities against budgets Monitor and report on operational performance and support continuous improvement initiatives Your Background Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in engineering, maintenance or a related discipline Experience within energy, resources, utilities or heavy industry environments Strong understanding of maintenance delivery and O&M contract environments Commercial awareness, including experience with budgeting, cost tracking and proposal development Strong ability to develop technical maintenance proposals, translating operational requirements into clear and commercially aligned scopes Highly adaptable and responsive, with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a dynamic operational environment Highly desirable: Experience with PowerApps, SharePoint or similar workflow or automation tools Experience supporting process or system improvements About the Team The Third Party Maintenance Contracts team is embedded within APA’s Gas Operations West business unit, part of our Operations & Maintenance function. We are responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of gas transmission assets across Western Australia, with a strong focus on maintaining high performance for our third-party customers — from major mining and resources companies to townships and power generation facilities in remote WA locations, where natural gas is a critical energy source. Our work supports infrastructure that is essential to WA’s economy, communities, and industry, ensuring security of supply while meeting strict safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
