About the role Join the dedicated team at Ten Lives Cat Centre as an Animal Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent care and support to the cats in our shelter. You will work as part of a close knit team to maintain the highest standards of animal welfare and ensure a safe, clean, and enriching environment for our feline residents. What you'll be doing Providing daily care and attention to the cats, including feeding, socialising and moving cats within or to/from the centre. Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the shelter, including but not limited to cat enclosures and all associated tools and accessories, floors, walls, laundry and wash bay to a hospital grade standard. Monitoring and recording the cats' health and behaviour, and reporting any concerns to the supervisor. Selection Criteria Genuine commitment to animal welfare A strong passion for caring for cats, with a willingness to learn and apply best practice handling, hygiene, and welfare standards. Ability to follow procedures with strong attention to detail Demonstrated capacity to follow instructions, maintain high cleanliness standards, and accurately observe and report changes in animal health or behaviour. Reliable team player with a positive, adaptable approach Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a fast paced environment, remain calm under pressure, and contribute to a supportive team culture.
