With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 to join the Broadmeadows Adult Inpatient Unit.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.   About Mental Health Division:  Northern Health is the third largest mental health service in Victoria Northern.  Within the Mental Health Division, we pride ourselves on providing high quality mental health services to people living in the northern regions of Melbourne, and work in a collaborative way with consumers and carers based on recovery principles.  We aim to provide strong clinical leadership to support all staff in the provision of professional treatment and care by our integrated community teams, inpatient, and residential services.   About the Role:  This role requires you to be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred mental health nursing care to consumers accessing the service.  Your role encompasses comprehensive assessment, and the development, implementation, prioritisation, and evaluation of individualised treatment plans.  You are a valued member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for consumers and their families.   To be successful in this role you will have:  Registration as a registered nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009)- AHPRA Must have Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric / Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Proven experience working within an acute mental health setting. Demonstrated ability to deliver nursing care and consumer support aligned with the principles of the recovery-oriented model in mental health. Ability to collaborate effectively with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
