Established in 2018, the business has rapidly expanded across multiple locations throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia, and the ACT, providing dine-in, takeaway, and group dining services to a broad customer base. Kickin’Inn is recognised for its unique hands-on dining concept, vibrant atmosphere, and commitment to delivering high-quality seafood and memorable customer experiences. We are seeking a Skilled and Experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is essential in supporting daily kitchen operations, preparing and cooking seafood and other menu items to company standards, maintaining food quality and presentation, assisting with stock control and kitchen coordination, and ensuring efficient service during busy operational periods. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining Kickin’Inn’s reputation for quality, consistency, and exceptional customer dining experiences. Salary Range : 75,000 to 80,000 AUD per annum Work Location / Venue : T4 (EATS) Nicholas St, Ipswich QLD 4305 Duties and Responsibilities : Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality seafood boil dishes, shellfish, fried seafood, grilled items, sides, sauces, and other menu offerings in accordance with Kickin’Inn’s recipes and food presentation standards. Ensure consistency in food quality, flavour, portion control, and presentation across all dishes served to customers while maintaining the brand’s signature Cajun-style dining experience. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen hands, to support efficient kitchen operations and maintain smooth service during peak trading periods. Assist in daily kitchen operations, including seafood preparation, sauce preparation, frying, grilling, plating, and service coordination to ensure timely food delivery and customer satisfaction. Monitor stock levels, conduct stock rotation, and assist with ordering kitchen supplies while ensuring seafood freshness, ingredient quality, and compliance with food safety standards. Oversee daily mise en place and ensure all kitchen stations are fully prepared, organised, and adequately stocked before service periods commence. Requirements : Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a commercial kitchen. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks during service. Proven attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high food quality and presentation standards. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support overall kitchen operations. Ability to guide and support junior kitchen staff.
