Rocky Point Sugar Mill is seeking applicants to join our processing team for the 2026 crushing season. This is a hands-on operational role working at the heart of our sugar production process, contributing to one of Queensland's iconic regional sugar mills. Shift pattern and rates (incl. cas loading): 3-shift rotating roster, 8-hour shifts Day | $ 39.08 /hr | Mon - Sat | 7am-3pm Aft | $ 43.00 /hr | Mon - Fri | 3pm-11pm Night | $ 43.78 /hr | Mon - Fri | 11pm-7am Overtime | $58.64 - $78.19/hr (OT, incl cas loading) Season dates: 15 June – Mid December 2025 Training: 2 weeks paid training provided at commencement Classification: Casual - Rocky Point Sugar Mill Enterprise Agreement - Level 5 About the role: operation and monitoring of the clarification and evaporation equipment within the factory including control panels, valves, chemical sampling equipment, computer logs Working as part of a close-knit processing team, you will ensure product quality and process efficiency throughout the crushing season. Monitor steam, juice, and syrup flows to maintain target Brix and purity levels Conduct routine equipment checks, log operational data, and report any process deviations Work collaboratively with the mill team to meet daily production targets Comply with all WHS policies Requirements: Current right to work in Australia Willingness and availability to work a 3-shift rotating roster including Saturdays (every 3rd week) Reliable and punctual Calm under pressure Fast learner Professional in team environments Zero tolerance for drug and alcohol in the workplace How to apply: Click Apply to submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
