About the Position: The Storeperson will join a large team of twelve in a warehousing environment where no two days are the same. Working closely with a dedicated team, you will ensure our chemical products are prepared and dispatched accurately and on schedule. This is a full-time role, with hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday with overtime available, based at our Gillman head office. You will be responsible for the safe operation of forklifts and reach trucks to move and organise stock, picking, packing and palletising orders with precision, and handling dangerous goods in accordance with strict safety requirements. Including general house keeping duties to ensure your workspace is clean, safe and well organised. We are looking for a proactive and reliable team player who is keen to learn and takes pride in their work. This position is ideal for someone with forklift experience who wants to build their skills in warehousing, or a candidate with some background in a warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities: Safe operation of a forklift and reach truck to efficiently move and organise products, ensuring proper storage practices. Processing picking slips to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely dispatch of goods. Picking, packing, and palletising stock accurately to prepare orders for shipment. Loading and unloading stock from trucks safely and efficiently. Using scanners to accurately pack orders for efficient processing. Preparing pallets for storage or shipment, including wrapping, ensuring secure packaging. Assisting with cyclical warehouse stocktakes to ensure accurate inventory counts and efficient stock management. Handling hazardous chemicals (dangerous goods) in accordance with safety protocols and regulations. Performing warehouse housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment. About You: Eager to secure a position in warehousing, or has some prior experience in a warehouse or similar setting. A current high-risk forklift licence (LF) and demonstrated experience, essential. Willing to learn, cross-train, and contribute to different areas of the warehouse. A proactive team player, committed to working together and supporting colleagues. Thorough attention to detail and accuracy. A strong, dedicated work ethic with a commitment to safety. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus and consistency. Physically capable of lifting, bending, stooping, and performing manual tasks as needed.
