About the Role: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Executive Director of Surgery Team as the Executive Officer, Division of Surgery. The Division of Surgery delivers inpatient and outpatients surgical services to the ACT and surrounding region. The Division includes the ACT Trauma Service, Acute Surgical Unit, Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Intensive Care Unit, Neurosurgery, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Pain Management Unit, Plastic Surgery, Retrieval Services, Urology, Vascular Surgery and the Trauma and Orthopaedic Research Unit. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Executive Officer provides high level support and coordination to deliver the objectives and priorities of the division. This role is responsible for the coordination and preparation of government business including briefings and correspondence, internal minutes, cabinet submissions and assembly material, and divisional business and projects. To be successful you will be confident in a fast-paced work environment, be adaptive and responsive, with the ability to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of situations and subject matter and cultivate productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
