Salary $76550 Superannuation benefits To be considered for this role, you must have Minimum Requirements (Essential): Trade Certificate in Automotive Technology and Diploma in Automotive Technology (or higher qualification) – mandatory At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Motor Mechanic Proven experience working in a busy automotive workshop environment in Australia Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Good level of English communication skills Duties involved are: Discuss problems with car drivers or vehicle operators to discover faults Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance Tune engines using electronic equipment and make adjustments for smoother running Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts Respond to vehicle breakdown service calls Ability to work in a COVID-safe environment.
