It involves analysing emerging issues and working with internal and external stakeholders to develop evidence‑based policy options. Success depends on navigating a fast‑moving planning system, balancing diverse stakeholder expectations, and translating complex technical material into clear, accessible language. For more information read the full Role Description: Senior Policy Officer What you will bring to the role Experience working in planning, sustainability or climate change‑related roles, ideally with exposure to net zero, emissions reduction or similar policy projects The ability to research, analyse and interpret complex and technical planning and climate change information, and translate this into practical policy actions Confidence engaging and working with a broad range of stakeholders across government, industry and community, building constructive relationships and solving problems collaboratively Skilled communicator with the ability to present complex technical information in plain English Comfortable managing competing priorities in a high‑volume, fast‑moving environment What is an essential requirement: Degree qualification in public policy, planning, law, economics, ecology, environmental science or other relevant discipline.
