We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Trade Assistant to join our team and support our experienced tradespeople in a busy manufacturing and service environment. About the Role As a Trade Assistant, you’ll work closely with our qualified tradespeople, gaining valuable on-the-job experience while supporting the repair, maintenance, and assembly of mechanical equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, reliable, and genuinely interested in building a career in the mechanical trade. What You’ll Be Doing Assisting tradespeople with repairs, maintenance, and rebuilds of mechanical equipment Supporting the strip, assess, repair, and assembly processes Helping with equipment modifications and general workshop tasks Following all safety procedures, including Take 5s, JHAs, and incident reporting Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Completing tasks as directed by supervisors and team leaders What We’re Looking For A strong interest in mechanical trades or manufacturing A willingness to learn and take direction Good attitude and reliability – someone we can invest in long-term Ability to work well in a team environment Physically fit and able to perform hands-on work Basic understanding of tools or mechanical work (desirable) Ability to read engineering drawings (desirable but not essential) Why Join Us?
