This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career professional who is passionate about data, eager to learn, and confident engaging with stakeholders to build practical, value-driven solutions As a Data Modeler: You hold a Bachelor of Information Technology (or equivalent) and have a strong interest in engaging with the business to solve real-world problems. You bring foundational experience with Power BI, including working with datasets/semantic models, report development, and publishing, alongside an interest in the broader Microsoft analytics ecosystem. You’re an analytical thinker with a genuine passion for data and take pride in delivering structured, reliable solutions. A collaborative team player, you value accuracy, embrace continuous improvement, and are motivated to empower others to make confident, data-driven decisions You also bring: Foundational understanding of data modelling concepts Familiarity with Power BI Service concepts Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively and confidently Strong learning mindset and a quality-first approach Prior experience with other Data modelling / reporting tool sets Prior experience in retail, QSR, or multi-site operational business is helpful Development & Delivery Build and maintain Power BI datasets and models that meet architecture and performance standards. Collaborate with IT Data Engineering to ensure smooth integration with data pipelines, transformations, and data warehouse structures Manage testing, deployment, and refresh schedules to keep data reliable, timely and fit for purpose. Develop and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with business requirements, focusing on usability and clarity Data Quality, Security & Governance Monitor dataset accuracy, timeliness, and overall quality, investigate issues and coordinate fixes with IT and business teams Apply appropriate security and compliance controls in Power BI (e.g. role-based access and Row-Level Security) with guidance from senior team members Maintain metadata, lineage, dataset usage notes and business glossary content to support publishing and organisation of content in Power BI, so content remains easy to find and maintain Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Partner with business teams to manage dataset requests and prioritise enhancements, and deliver incremental improvements Review and validate reports and semantic models (business- or IT-developed) prior to wider adoption, providing practical, constructive feedback Identify opportunities to optimise models, improve automation, and increase reuse of shared datasets to reduce duplication Why work for Collins Foods?
