The Senior Speech Pathologist works collaboratively with the team lead to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to clients with complex communication and swallowing needs. This advanced practitioner role is responsible for managing a complex caseload, mentoring junior staff, providing clinical supervision, and supporting service improvement activities. Clinical Expertise & Service Delivery Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders. Provide advanced-level, individualized treatment plans, including instrumental assessment (e.g., VFSS & FEES) Develop evidence-based interventions for clients with complex communication needs, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Work with clients across the lifespan in acute, subacute, or community settings to improve mealtime safety and quality of life. Provide counselling and education to families, caregivers, and key personnel. 2. Leadership & Mentoring Act as a key contact for clinical queries Formal clinical supervision experience is required for this Senior position 3. Quality Improvement & Governance Lead or support quality improvement projects (QIPs) and service development. Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation, including NDIS standards. Monitor performance KPIs and adhere to organizational policies. 4. Role Requirements Graduate Degree in Speech Pathology, Masters preferred Professional registration with SPA A minimum of 5 years' experience working with varied NDIS participants A strong understanding of the NDIS Framework and Practice Standards Excellent adaptive communication skills to engage with varied participants and stakeholders NSW Driver Licence NDIS Worker Screening Check First Aid Certificate Working with Children Check COVID-19 Vaccination evidence of at least two doses.
