Position Overview: The Head of Content, Learning & Channels leads the strategic development, governance, and delivery of all content, professional learning, and communication channels that support the legal profession. This role ensures that lawyers at every career stage, students, new lawyers, solicitors, in‑house counsel, government practitioners, community lawyers, senior leaders, and specialists, have access to authoritative, high‑quality content and learning, assessment, and certification pathways (including Accredited Specialisation) that reflects the profession’s regulatory environment, ethics obligations, and practice needs. The position is central to the association’s mission to uphold professional standards, support practitioner capability, and act as a trusted source of insight and guidance for the legal community. Key Responsibilities Include: Lead the creation of a sector‑aligned integrated content strategy that reflects legal profession priorities such as ethics, CPD compliance, law reform, practice management, wellbeing, and emerging legal issues. Oversee the editorial direction of all professional content, ensuring accuracy, legal rigour, and alignment with the professions expectations. Own the full CPD product suite, ensuring compliance with jurisdictional CPD rules and accreditation requirements. Design learning offerings tailored to various cohorts, including early career lawyers, sole practitioners, government lawyers, corporate counsel, suburban, and regional practitioners. Own the end‑to‑end product strategy for content, learning, certification, and channel offerings, including lifecycle management, positioning, and value proposition. Define and recommend pricing strategies for learning, content, and certification products in collaboration with the CFO and other Heads of. Leverage analytics, audience data, CPD usage patterns, and practitioner needs assessments. Collaborate with internal teams in policy, ethics, member experience, accreditation, events, and advocacy to ensure alignment of content with key profession issues. To be considered, you must demonstrate: Deep understanding of the legal profession, regulatory environment, CPD requirements, and professional conduct obligations. High‑level editorial judgement and strong command of legal concepts, emerging issues, and trends across practice areas. Expertise in adult learning methodology, instructional design, and digital learning environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage senior stakeholders including judges, senior counsel, partners, and regulators. Qualifications & Experience 8–12 years’ experience in content, legal education, publishing, professional learning, or digital channel leadership. Experience in a legal association, regulatory body, professional membership organisation, or legal education environment (strongly desirable).
