We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Project Engineer/ Project Engineer to join us in our ID - Project Delivery team in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role to co-ordinate project technical activities, to assist in the delivery of project team goals and targets across a range of Projects associated with APA’s East Coast Gas Grid (ECGG) Expansion Plan. This includes engineering investigations, preparation of estimates, reports, scopes of work, plans, and procedures. This role requires site visit for the duration of contractor roster cycle. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Project Manager to coordinate technical activities and support delivery of the ECGG projects Contribute to planning, investigations and implementation to ensure projects meet scope, schedule and quality objectives Prepare scopes of work, engineering documentation, cost estimates and clear technical reports Apply relevant engineering standards, codes and best practices to maintain safety, compliance and performance Collaborate with contractors, consultants and service providers to drive efficient, value-focused outcomes Support budget monitoring and site-based activities, ensuring strong communication between field and office teams Your background Experience in construction, engineering or infrastructure environments Demonstrated understanding of quality, compliance and safety frameworks Experience working collaboratively with contractors, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders Exposure to civil, mechanical, piping, structural or E&I construction activities Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Clear communication skills, commercial awareness and confidence working with data and reporting tools About the Team Infrastructure Delivery (ID) supports APA’s growth by securing approvals and delivering the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of major infrastructure projects. Part of ID, the Project Delivery team leads the safe and efficient delivery of APA’s capital growth projects, from development to operational integration, working closely with Energy Solutions and Operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to APA’s safety and quality standards. This includes covering constructability, project management and delivery, contractor oversight, commissioning, safety, risk, and assurance. This is an exciting time for the Project Delivery team, with the recent announcement of Stage 3 of APA’s East Coast Gas Grid (ECGG) Expansion Plan, which is expected to add approximately 30% additional transport capacity and address projected southern market gas shortfalls from 2028. The Project Delivery team will play an integral role in the successful delivery of ECGG projects to increase north to south capacity, which will be essentially for supplying gas to southern markets.
