About the Role We are seeking a motivated People & Capability Administrator to join our team on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Senior People & Capability Officer, you will provide essential HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle. This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to smooth people processes, strong compliance, and a positive employee experience across the organisation. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Support end-to-end recruitment including job advertising, shortlisting coordination, reference checks, and candidate communication Assist with onboarding, inductions, and offboarding processes Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with governance and compliance requirements Coordinate training, development activities, and workforce initiatives Organise travel, accommodation, and internal events Provide general HR administration support and assist with process improvements Support workforce reporting and broader People & Capability projects About You You are a highly organised and detail-focused professional who enjoys working in a people-focused environment. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and work well both independently and as part of a team. You will bring: HR qualification (or currently studying) OR relevant administrative/HR experience Understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment legislation Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality Excellent organisation and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft 365 A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and improve Desirable Experience working with First Nations communities Understanding of cultural values and remote community contexts Requirements Valid Working with Children Check (Ochre Card), or ability to obtain Current Australian Driver's Licence Ability to obtain National Police Clearance Ability to obtain Tiwi Islands entry permit Willingness to travel to the Tiwi Islands as required Must reside in Darwin What is on offer?
