Join a high-performing Haematology and Transfusion team delivering critical pathology services within one of Queensland’s major tertiary hospitals. In this role, you’ll support specialised laboratory operations including blood product management, specimen handling and pre-analytical testing that directly impacts patient care. The purpose of this role is to provide operational support across Haematology and Transfusion services through pre-analytical and post-analytical activities, specimen handling, blood product support and laboratory operations. What you'll do In this role you will perform pre-analytical and post-analytical laboratory procedures, support blood stock inventory management and blood product dispensing activities, assist with bone marrow sample preparation, prepare and process specimens for testing, maintain laboratory consumables and equipment, support quality and accreditation activities, contribute to communication across clinical teams, and participate in a 24/7 roster including weekends and future shift arrangements. About you We are searching for someone who: Has experience in pathology, laboratory support or healthcare environments Can learn and perform Haematology pre-analytical processes accurately Has strong attention to detail in a busy laboratory environment Can manage competing priorities and work independently Has strong communication and teamwork skills Has experience with blood products or pathology systems (desirable) Why work with us?
