Laboratory Team Leader – Embryology & Andrology Laboratory Team Leader Mackay Queensland Fertility Group Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Laboratory Team Leader to support the day-to-day operations of our IVF laboratory services. This role provides leadership, technical expertise, and operational support to ensure high-quality laboratory standards, patient care, and compliance across our embryology and andrology services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Laboratory Manager/Regional Coordinator and assist in supervising laboratory staff, maintaining quality systems, supporting workflow coordination, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support the Laboratory Manager/Regional Coordinator in daily laboratory operations Assist in implementing new and updated laboratory procedures and protocols Ensure adherence to laboratory policies, procedures, and quality standards Support staff rostering, workflow coordination, and communication of priorities Assist with induction, training, and supervision of laboratory staff Help maintain RTAC and/or NATA accreditation compliance Monitor quality control processes and equipment calibration records Support continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations and customer experience Promote workplace safety and proactive risk management practices About You Essential Qualifications Degree in Biological Science or a related scientific discipline from a recognised tertiary institution Desirable Qualifications Postgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific field (e.g. MSc) Essential Skills & Experience Fully trained and technically competent in Embryology and/or Andrology Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical embryology/andrology Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated commitment to quality, compliance, and patient care Ability to lead and support staff effectively in a collaborative environment Desirable Experience Previous leadership or staff supervision experience Why Join Us?
