Creatively combining the disciplines of Architecture, Urbanism and Design, we explore how cities, spaces, buildings, technologies, and services can better meet the needs of people and society. Our educators and researchers are experimental, imaginative, and critical, innovating at the boundaries of their disciplines and creating exciting and engaging learning experiences for our students – the global citizens of tomorrow. The Architecture program was the first in Australia, established in 1920 by distinguished architect, Leslie Wilkinson. Architecture courses address the breadth of topics necessary to prepare future practitioners from art processes to design studio to construction and technology. Research areas are equally diverse encompassing architectural science as well as history and theory, applied design research, and more. The program recognises the importance of retaining strong ties to professional practice to make sure that the educational offering is up-to-date in a profession that is rapidly changing. Your key responsibilities will be to: make independent, original and innovative contributions to research and education that expand knowledge or practice in the discipline coordinate and develop curricula and programs within the School/Faculty (e.g. coordination of a large award program or a number of smaller award programs). About you A proven track record of original, high-quality and independent practice within the field of Architecture Broad experience in teaching and learning at the university level, especially in architectural design studios Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and evaluating cutting-edge teaching and learning initiatives that inform curriculum design and development A collegial approach and willingness to contribute to mentoring others, academic governance, engagement, and administration A developing network of relationships with key academic, industry, and professional institutions, partners, and stakeholders.
