Ability Advocates Australia is partnering with Inner West Council to recruit a GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Trainee as part of the Inclusive Traineeship Program 2026. This is a paid, entry-level traineeship designed for people with disability who are interested in technology, data or maps, and would like structured support while developing technical skills. The role combines real work in Council's GIS team with completion of a Certificate III in Surveying and Spatial Information Services. Key Responsibilities With training and supervision, you may: · Work with digital maps and spatial data · Assist with updating and maintaining GIS layers · Support property addressing and mapping queries · Use specialist software and systems · Check data accuracy and complete admin tasks · Communicate with internal stakeholders No previous GIS experience is required.
