The role sits within the Applications Services team and reports to the Team Leader Application Services. About the Role As the Application Support Analyst, you will work closely with business users, vendors, IT teams and project stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, improve systems and enhance the user experience across a broad portfolio of business-critical applications. You will contribute to system configuration, technical issue resolution, user support and training, vendor engagement, application upgrades, testing, documentation and initiatives that improve functionality and service delivery. The role also supports Council's cyber security, disaster recovery, business continuity, auditing and assurance activities. Key Focus Areas Level 2 and Level 3 application support System administration, configuration and troubleshooting Application upgrades, testing and documentation ERP systems and local government platforms Vendor, stakeholder and business user support User training and knowledge sharing ITSM, incident and service request management Cyber security, disaster recovery and business continuity support About You City of Kingston Council is looking for a practical, collaborative and customer-focused professional who is motivated by using technology to improve services for staff and the broader community. You will bring: Experience supporting applications in a government, corporate or complex IT environment Demonstrated Level 2 and Level 3 application support experience across a broad application portfolio Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience with system administration, configuration, maintenance and documentation Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to improve systems and processes Experience supporting business information applications within a Microsoft technology environment, such as SQL databases, PowerShell, APIs, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Platform or Dynamics Experience with ERP or enterprise systems, with Infor Pathway and TechnologyOne OneCouncil highly regarded Experience with ITSM tools and service desk management platforms Experience with local government applications, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, application deployment, ITILv4, Agile, PRINCE2 or other project methodologies will be highly regarded.
