Waiter Supervisor We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Waiter Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team and ensure exceptional customer service during every shift. Key Duties: Supervise and train food and beverage attendants at a lower level Coordinate daily service in the dining area or designated function space Ensure professional and efficient service of food and beverages, including patron care Greet, seat, and attend to guests; present menus and take reservations Take food and drink orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff Serve meals, open and pour beverages, clear tables, and return dishes to kitchen Handle payments, operate POS systems, balance cash drawers and assist with banking Assist manager or owner with end-of-shift reconciliation and reporting Monitor and assist with stock control and stocktaking processes Maintain presentation standards of dining area including table settings and cleanliness Recommend wine or beverage pairings when appropriate Requirements: Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II with at least one year of relevant work experience; OR hold an AQF Certificate III with one year of post-qualification experience (20 hours/week); Alternatively, at least one year of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. Key Duties: Examine food items and ingredients to ensure freshness and quality Regulate and monitor temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking equipment Prepare, cook, and season meals according to menu and recipe specifications Portion and plate dishes, adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes as needed Store food items in appropriate temperature-controlled conditions Prepare meals to meet special dietary needs when required Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen work area May contribute to menu planning and estimating ingredient requirements May assist in training apprentices and junior kitchen staff Requirements: Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III (including two years of on-the-job training); OR hold an AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant work experience; Alternatively, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
