About the Role We are seeking experienced Residential Gyprockers / Plasterers to join our team. The successful applicant will install, repair, and finish plasterboard and related lining systems in residential homes, delivering a high-quality finish to walls and ceilings. This role involves measuring, cutting, fixing, setting, and finishing plasterboard and other internal lining materials in residential projects. You will be expected to work accurately, efficiently, and safely while coordinating with builders, supervisors, and other trades to meet project deadlines. Key responsibilities Measure, cut, and install plasterboard to walls and ceilings. Fix sheets using adhesive, nails, screws, or other appropriate fixing methods. Set joints, corners, and fastener holes to achieve a smooth finish. Apply stops, cornices, trims, and other finishing components. Repair damaged plasterboard and internal lining systems. Sand and prepare surfaces for painting and final finishes. Read and follow plans, specifications, and site instructions. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area. Work effectively with supervisors, builders, and other trades. Comply with workplace health and safety requirements at all times. Skills and experience required Proven experience minimum 3 years as a gyprocker or plasterer in residential construction. Certificate III in Plastering ( Wall and ceiling) or Equivalent Strong knowledge of plasterboard installation, fixing, setting, and finishing. Ability to read plans and work to specifications. Good attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Sound understanding of site safety and construction practices. Essential requirements ·Current White Card. Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision. Full working rights in Australia. Driver’s licence preferred. Desirable Experience in new builds, renovations, and extensions. Experience with cornices, bulkheads, repairs, and setting. Knowledge of acoustic, fire-rated, and moisture-resistant lining systems. Experience working on occupied residential homes.
