THE POSITION To support their growth plans, Manning Cartell is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner with previous exposure to the fashion industry. Candidates will be working closely with the product teams and will interact with all parts of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES · Construct, review and maintain OTB and Range Plans down to category level · Forecast sales by channel and store and taking into account marketing/promotional calendar · Review and manage intake and achieved margins to business objectives · Ensure optimum stock levels (through managing inflows, markdowns) are in line with set KPI’s · Construct option plan · Monitor CTP’s to ensure on-time deliveries of styles in to stores · Optimise stock level to maximise sales – through allocations (unit and size), consolidations, replenishment and exiting stock for slow moving styles. · Manage markdowns to improve stock turns and minimise margin erosion · Prepare and present pre and post season analysis · Prepare weekly sales and stock pack for trade meetings and recommend actions to be taken to trade the business · Work alongside product teams to review ranges, product mix, pricing, and establish optimum buy units. · Work closely with suppliers and product teams to support purchasing decisions, product selection, pricing strategies, and seasonal buying plans. · Assist in developing buying strategies based on sales performance, customer trends, and inventory analysis. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, Fashion Merchandising or related field · Advanced Microsoft Excel skills · Experience working with legacy systems · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Experience with ERP systems, preferably Harmony ERP · 4 to 7 years of experience in womenswear apparel sector (ideally in lux-designer segment) Applicants are requested to send a CV in the first instance to
