The Role As a qualified Engineering Repair Tradesperson (ERT) Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our bus fleet. This includes: Repairing, servicing, and maintaining buses to meet regulatory standards Road testing vehicles as required Attending breakdowns on and off-site Identifying and repairing vehicle defects The talent you bring: Current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic trade certificate (essential) Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology Relevant experience on buses or heavy vehicles Current HR drivers license (or ability to obtain) Computer literacy for accurate maintenance record keeping Capability to supervise and assist in training apprentices and trade assistants Experience with scan tools (desirable) We Offer: Annual salary $84,575.37 super (excluding overtime, shift penalty) Regular opportunities for paid overtime A monthly rostered day off (RDO) 4-5 weeks annual leave (depending on shift allocation) Fortnightly rotating day/afternoon roster with shift allowances Tools and uniforms supplied Career development opportunities, including training for the latest electrical vehicle technology Free staff bus to / from Central (departure times vary) Access to discounted Fitness Passport membership A FREE Opal travel card is available for work and personal travel Hours of work: After an initial training period on day shift, you will commence a 2-week rotating roster which includes work on Saturdays and Sundays. Day shift: 6am-2.30pm Mid shift: 10.30am-7pm (15% shift allowance is payable for the entire shift) Afternoon shift: 2.30pm- 11pm (15% shift allowance is payable for the entire shift) Location: The Waverley depot is approx. 600 metre walk from Bondi Junction train station Future Focus: Be part of our journey towards a sustainable future!
