This role is responsible for managing a caseload of complex access and amendment applications under the Right to Information Act, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements across a large government portfolio. Key responsibilities include: Manage and process complex RTI and amendment applications within statutory timeframes Prepare decision notices, correspondence and submissions for external review processes Provide written and verbal advice to internal and external stakeholders on statutory obligations and administrative release Research legislation, case law and best practice approaches to information access Liaise with business units to locate, review and redact documents for release Support publication scheme and disclosure log activities Maintain accurate records in line with legislative requirements About you: Experience in Right to Information, privacy, legal, compliance, investigations or administrative decision-making Strong ability to interpret legislation and apply statutory requirements Excellent written communication and document drafting skills Strong stakeholder engagement and case management capability Ability to analyse information and exercise sound judgement in complex environments Resilient and able to work with sensitive or confronting content This is a fantastic opportunity to develop specialist legislative expertise while contributing to transparency and accountability in the public sector.
