Stone Axe Pastoral is seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Hand to join our team at Boathaugh farm, just 5km from Karridale. This is a hands-on role and will suit someone who is machinery minded, enjoy practical work, takes ownership of outcomes, and values being part of a professional, well-run pastoral operation. You’ll support the day-to-day running of the property, working across livestock care, machinery operation, and general farm maintenance including upkeep of fencing and water equipment. What you’ll be doing Operating and maintaining farm machinery, including tractors and pasture improvement / fodder production equipment Assisting with livestock care, including feeding, watering, and yard work Carrying out general farm duties such as fencing, irrigation, cleaning, and maintenance Supporting upkeep and minor repairs of farm infrastructure and equipment Following safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment Maintaining basic records relating to livestock, production, and farm activities What we’re looking for Previous experience in a farm or agricultural environment (preferred) Practical knowledge of livestock and pasture-based farming systems Experience operating farm machinery; pasture improvement and fodder equipment experience highly regarded Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying conditions Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset A strong sense of accountability and pride in your work Why join Stone Axe Pastoral?
