About the Role The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing and applying high-quality paint and protective coatings to semi-trailers and industrial components. This position ensures that all finished products meet our quality, durability, and safety standards before delivery. Operating within our manufacturing division, the role requires use of sandblasters, fabricators, and supervisors to meet busy production deadlines and deliver work to specification. Duties and Responsibilities Daily operations involve extensive surface preparation, including cleaning, sanding, masking, sealing, and correcting surface defects prior to coating. The successful candidate will safely operate specialized spray-painting equipment, apply protective coatings to a high standard, and inspect completed work to rectify any defects. Maintaining a clean paint booth, servicing tools, and keeping work areas in a good condition. The role also requires prompt reporting of mechanical faults, equipment issues, or safety concerns directly to management and the maintenance team. Health, Safety, and Physical Requirements A strong commitment to Safety procedures is mandatory for this position. The role requires the use of required PPE, adherence to safe chemical handling protocols, and the ability to work safely at heights. Because the position involves manual and mechanical material handling, candidates must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting when required. Employees are expected to actively participate in the resolution of safety issues and help drive continuous improvements to our workplace safety culture.
