About the Position: The Print Finisher (Production Assistant Manager) is a critical leadership role in our print and mail production operations at A&O 3PL PTY LTD. This full-time position involves overseeing the setup, programming, operation, and supervision of advanced binding, finishing, and post-press equipment to ensure high-quality output, timely delivery, and full compliance with client specifications and Australia Post standards. Reporting to the Production Director and based at our Mt Kuring-gai facility, you will lead production teams and drive workflow efficiency to support our growing client demands. This role is essential for maintaining our reputation for precision, quality, and reliability in a fast-paced 3PL and direct mail environment. Key Responsibilities: Setting up, programming, adjusting, and supervising automatic binding and finishing machinery Operating programmable paper guillotines for precision cutting and trimming Calibrating and operating folding, collating, laminating, saddle stitching, and automated inserting equipment to meet detailed job specifications Preparing printed components for binding, stitching, or automated insertion processes Setting up and operating automated inserting equipment for bulk mail campaigns, monitoring envelope sealing, addressing, and barcode alignment for Australia Post compliance Conducting test runs to verify data accuracy and insertion sequencing prior to full production Performing in-process and final quality inspections, identifying and rectifying finishing defects Coordinating workflow with print and mail production staff, including supervision of the 3PL Team Leader and production teams, to meet production deadlines Performing routine preventative maintenance and minor troubleshooting of finishing machinery Ensuring safe operation of all equipment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements Requirements : Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. AQF Certificate III in Printing and Graphic Arts (or equivalent), including relevant on-the-job training; or AQF Certificate IV in Printing and Graphic Arts (or closely related field); or A minimum of three (3) years of full-time relevant experience in print finishing and post-press production in lieu of formal qualification.
